Peter Drucker left Germany in 1933 right after Hitler came to power. Due to the deeply intimate view of the country that his job as editor provided him, Drucker was well aware of the threat the Nazi party posed and left immediately after two of his books were banned and burned.
He moved to London where he would marry his long time acquaintance Doris Schmitz in 1934 with whom he would eventually have four children with.
During his time in London, Drucker attended a lecture by Lord John Meyner Keynes which would lead Drucker to state how he preferred learning about people rather than the way that goods moved around.
